Well the begining of the first marking period brought the begining of a new chapter in my personal book of life. I thought that high school was the best thing that had happened to me. This was since eigth grade of course. It was honestly amazing in the begining. I had freedom, I was doing good in school. I loved it. Then I went to Philadelphia. I relized how much I missed the city. I missed all my old friends. I wanted to see them so bad. Also it was such a drastic change. i went from a city catholic school to a less city-like public school. Nothing seemed good.
Later in the begining of the second marking period I relized that I didn't even think that I wanted to be a doctor. I didn't even know if this was the school that I wanted to be in. This whole situation was a big mess that had to be cleaned. I then thought about it and came to the conclusion that this is the best place to be.
Now I am getting use to this school. I came to the conclusion that this school holds the best oppurtunity for me in the future. I just have to see what the future has in hold for me.

The Great Gatsby
When I first started to read this book, I honestly thought that it was going to be one of the worst books that I have ever read. Now that i am almost finished this book, I came to find out that it is not that bad. There are some slow parts but the story to it fixes them. To help me on my way to finishing this book i wanted to write a blog on the pros and cons of the book called The great Gatsby.
There are some pros to this book. One of the pros would have to be that it was written so long ago. When I pick up this book it is almost like I am looking through a miror to the past. This also makes me feel like I am reading about history. Another pro to this book would have to be that it describes the characters nicly.
There are cons, and they may out weigh the pros by a little. The first con of the book would have to be that the chapters were too long. This ment that there was more pages to read in the time period. Another con would be that there were too many characters. They do introduce the characters nicle and describe them but it sometimes is hard to keep track. The last con would have to be that there were a few slow chapters.

Book Review #4
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Have you ever found yourself, daydreaming about a new world? Have you even ever found yourself wanting to have powers beyond man? For a young boy, named Harry Potter, this was his life. If you have answered yes to any one of these questions, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the book for you.
When Hagrid said "You're a wizard Harry", these were words of happiness. When Harry was only a baby his parents were killed by the most dangorous wizard there was, Voldemort. The family that Harry lived with when he was orphaned were horrible. They were his mother's sister's family and they disowned her for being a wizard. NAturally, they did the same to Harry. They never let him do anything and he had to sleep in a little cupard underneath the sink. Hagrid came and turned his life around. harry was then brought to a magical school and found out some things are not what they seemed.
When Harry is at school for the first time, he goes to the Sorting Hat. "This boy would make a great Slytherin student." said the hat as he sat upon Harry's hat. These were words of pure terror to HArry. Slytheriin is where is new enemy is and he did not want to spend seven years with him. The next day classes started and he found out that one of his teachers already hated him. The year was not starting off right for Harry at all. The only good thing that came out of this school was that he had his first friend, Ron Weasly.
Throughtout the rest of the year things looked like nothing was going to be getting better. this is until Harry's skill at broom flying was found. He then joined the team of quidatch as the youngest member. This seemed to be the best thing at the time, until the first game. One of the professors tried to kill harry by knocking him off of his broom. Then he came to find out that the same professor was hosting the remains of Voldemort. HE then had to go to find the Sorcerer's stone in a dungeon. There were various obstcles in this dungeon that they had to go through. In the end Harry was successful and saved the school from the grips of Voldemort. That is until next year.
If anything magical sparks your interest, then you most likely will like this. This book has a whole range of aspects. From a story of a poor boy to a wizrd. This is much like nothing I have personally never read. i would reccomend this book to you if you ever have to read a book.
